I have lived in Nashville 15 years and if you wanted Honky Tonks, you went downtown. Acoustically focused singer/songwriter venues were all uptown. Now there is a bridge called THE LISTENING ROOM. Thanks! Downtown Nashville is better because of it!

The listening room is THE venue in Nashville to really hear the song and the songwriter. The atmosphere, food and staff make for a true listening experience.

Over the last couple of years, I’ve had the distinct pleasure of performing in what has to be the best live music venue in all of Nashville, TN. That venue would be The Listening Room Cafe. As an artist who has toured nationally and internationally, I can attest first hand to the care that has been taken to insure the performers the best possible experience, from the amazing stage and sound system to the green room and amenities provided; not to mention the great sound engineers provided if needed. Chris Blair, The Listening Room’s proud owner is a performing songwriter himself and knows what it takes to create a positive, professional atmosphere for even the most seasoned performers, which he does on a consistent basis. As well as being the owner, Chris is a committed flag-bearer for Country Music, the industry and the City of Nashville as well.

If you are considering booking an artist in Nashville, I would strongly suggest you consider The Listening Room first. If the venue doesn’t sell you, then surely you’ll be considering yourself lucky to have done business with someone who has your best interests in mind first at all time. That person would be Chris Blair. Tell him I sent you!

Good luck in all your endeavors.

Planning a Nashville wedding from 2,000 miles away in Portland, Oregon had the potential to be a stressful event. But one call to The Listening Room Cafe event catering team, and my worries melted away! The team delivered exceptional service before, during, and after my wedding– on time and within budget. A month later, my guests are still raving about the above-and-beyond quality service and absolutely DELICIOUS menu items. EVERY bride needs TLR Catering to make their wedding an unforgettable (stress-free) event!

It’s always a pleasure to play THE LISTENING ROOM. It has one of the best sound systems in town!
We are from Minnesota and while we have a very decent music scene your Listening Room Cafe was awesome and all four singer/songwriters were fantastic! We are on the last part of our stay which included the Bluebird Cafe (which we actually got in Monday night), City Winery, Grand Ole Opry and of coarse we did the Honky Tonk’s, tonight is the Ryman. We really like the listening room concept!
Also the staff we had contact with were awesome as well, very pleasant. And food and drink were great as well.
One complaint (: I like to get a T Shirt from certain city’s we travel to and decided that your place is where I would get one but….sold out. Any plans to sell them online?
The Listening Room is one of the greatest venues in town. From the amazing sound system, great food, comfortable atmosphere and the staff, it’s one of my favorite places to frequent in Nashville.

The Listening Room is one of my favorite places to play or listen to music when I’m in town. The acoustics are great; the food and drinks are wonderful; but what I love most about the place is that it’s so multifunctional. Depending on your mood, you can sit on the couches and feel like you’re at a concert in your living room; sit at the long tables and eat and drink with your friends while you listen; or step to the bar for a private conversation (business or otherwise) that doesn’t bother the band or the folks that are there to listen.

Cheers to Chris and the folks at the Listening Room for creating such a great space.
